This dress is a recreation of Vanessa's wedding dress from The Little Mermaid animated movie. A customer commissioned this for their Vanessa doll, but it is modeled on my Aurora doll in these photos. To create this dress I first had to look at clips from the movie to better understand the design of this dress. Then I created a mockup and patterned the dress to made sure it fit the doll right. Next I sourced the appropriate fabric and lace detailing. Once it was put together I deciced to add some beading for some extra detailing. Overall, this dress is a beautiful creation of the outfit from the movie.
